Happy winter!

I mean, technically it’s been winter for a while now, but we still have a while to go.

Here where I live in southern New Jersey we’ve barely seen a snowflake, which makes my husband happy but makes me just a bit sad. There’s something lovely about the hush during and after the snowfall.

This year, I’ve chosen a word for the year for myself: It’s STRETCH, which reminds me to move around, and to move outside my comfort zone.

I recently created a mantra for myself as well, which is “I create time and space for my success.”

I’m about to embark on making myself a new collage piece with one or both of those things on them, just as I did back in 2019, when my phrase for the year was “actually, I can.”

A friend of mine saw that mantra and mantra piece back in 2019. She asked for permission to borrow my mantra (permission granted!), then commissioned her own piece of art. Here is the piece I sent to her:
